'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'juggernaut' Arsenal have become the squad everyone fears.

The proof is unmistakable why Arsenal are now countless pundits' preferred choice to claim the Premier League in the current campaign.

Consider their results against Newcastle and Crystal Palace compared to those identical matches last season.

The Gunners have beaten all of them in the current season, but lost 10 points across those games as they dropped off in the title race previously.

Impenetrable Rearguard

Arsenal's backline resilience is a primary factor why they are seeming ready to ultimately achieve their title ambition.

They rank top for unbreached games (6), goals allowed (3), attempts against (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and expected goals against (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is possibly the strongest in the league, with Arsenal recording a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Proficiency

Their effectiveness from free kicks is well known, but rival sides still struggle to neutralize the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have notched 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals resulting from these situations.

"Arsenal can excel in various aspects now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just fearful of them and it is excellent to see."

Championship Pedigree

What is particularly impressive about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they keep winning, their traditional rivals face difficulties. This marks the first time at this juncture of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The pressure was on manager Mikel Arteta at the start, having spent around £250m on eight summer signings in search of that elusive first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far paid off in remarkable manner, with his side second top scorers in the league and possessing the strongest defense, despite numerous injuries.

  • Clean sheets in each of their last three Premier League games
  • Over six hours without letting in a goal
  • Only a handful of concessions in 12 games across various contests

Former players and analysts have described Arteta's men as a "unstoppable force, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with confidence and resolve.
